Have you ever wanted to attend a seminar at an American University? Every month at the Beijing American Center, we will host an American Classroom—a new series designed to bring you into an American-style seminar right here in Beijing. On one Friday each month, we’ll discuss a new topic just like we would at a top-tier university in the United States.
Our next American Classroom event will focus on Diversity in the American Classroom. America is a country of immigrants, and this diversity is part of what makes every viewpoint different. On Friday, March 15th, a panel of diplomats from the U.S. Embassy will lead a seminar talking about how university culture is enriched through multiple voices, the challenges that this diversity brings to our campuses, and how we face those challenges to improve our education.
Open conversation is encouraged! Please come prepared with questions for our panel, and consider how diversity might affect your own learning experience!

Doors will open 30 minutes before the program starts. Please try to arrive at least 15 minutes before the program starts to allow enough time to go through security. You will NOT be admitted if you arrive half an hour after the program has started.

You must bring a valid physical STUDENT photo ID in order to enter the Beijing American Center (BAC), copies or pictures of IDs will not be accepted. No large bags will be allowed into the BAC for this event.

Directions: Metro Line 10, Liangmaqiao Station Exit B, walk northeast to the Tian Ze Road intersection of An Jia Lou Road, north side of the Visas Office.
