Agriculture has played an important role in my life.  I grew up on afarm in Iowa.  I remember the hard work involved keeping a dairy operationrunning…  American companies and farmers greatly value their collaborationwith China’s dairy, feed, and other agricultural sectors… They (industryrepresentatives) are here to continue the nearly 40 years of collaboration between ourcountries two agricultural sectors.”

Ambassador Branstad delivered remarks at the China National Forage Conference highlighting the nearly 40 years of collaboration between the U.S. and Chinese agricultural sectors. China’s animal husbandry sector is a key destination for high quality U.S. forage products, and American farmers take their role as suppliers to the Chinese market seriously. ‎The Ambassador congratulated conference participants for sharing the latest forage crop improvement practices for the benefit of U.S. farmers and Chinese animal husbandry businesses, and expressed his desire for these conversations to continue in the future.
