Construction for the New Sanitation Line
修建新的下水道管道
Construction on an updated sanitation line began in May to update the lines to meet updated standards for the higher volume needed for the Aspen Club Development. The construction will temporarily close the Ute Avenue Trail, but hikers can use a detour to reach the club and trails in the area. This is an important first step in the construction process.
新的下水管道线路铺设在5月份开始动工了，对下水管路线路进行了改建，从而能够满足阿斯彭俱乐部扩建后所需的更高的下水管道需求。施工会临时关闭尤特大道的步行路线，徒步旅行者需绕行到达俱乐部以及本地区的步行路线。这是施工建设过程的重头炮。

The Aspen Club & Spa held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Aspen Club Development on May 28, 2014. A world-renowned resort, the new facility will be a revolutionary real estate and lifestyle concept.
阿斯彭俱乐部及Spa会所于2014年5月28日举行了阿斯彭俱乐部扩建项目的开工典礼。全球知名的度假胜地，一家俱乐部将进行全面革新并注入炫酷时尚理念。
“The Aspen Club development will be a world class destination, the first of its kind to incorporate residential and hotel stays which will meet the needs of multi-generational families for years to come,” said Michael Fox, CEO/Owner of the Aspen Club.
阿斯彭俱乐部CEO/老板迈克尔福克斯先生表示：“阿斯彭俱乐部重装上阵后将成为一个世界级俱乐部、行业龙头，同时兼备住宅和酒店项目，可同时满足多代同堂家庭不同年龄段的需求。”
This local and global occasion drew guests from around the world. Elected officials, community leaders, project partners, employees, members, and investors celebrated at the Aspen Club this monumental milestone in the project’s development.

Digging the Spa

It is important to find critical load-bearing walls and pipes. The construction team began digging in several rooms in lower level of the building to search for the exact location of these items, and found them in the Aspen Club Spa. This photo shows the progress of the ongoing preparations for major digging and foundation building soon to follow.

The Aspen Club celebrated the start of construction for the development project on Thursday with the Bulldozer BBQ Bash at the club. Community leaders, club members and employees celebrated in Western style with a bulldozer, excellent food and a surprise flash mob western dance choreographed by the Aspen Ballet!
阿斯彭俱乐部于周四举行了阿斯彭扩建项目开工典礼，典礼是以烧烤特色形式开展的。社区领导和俱乐部会员均莅临典礼，俱乐部员工也都积极参与其中，整个仪式以西部风格举行，有推土机、珍馐美食以及阿斯彭芭蕾舞团精心设计的惊艳西部快闪舞。
The event raised over $1500 in charitable donations for the Aspen Buddy Program, and guests were invited to guess the date of the official re-opening of the club to win a year-membership.
本次活动为阿斯彭少年慈善项目募集善款1500多美元，所到宾客均受邀竞猜俱乐部重新正式开业的日期，获胜者将获得一年的会员资格。

Aspen-area real estate starts strong in 2014

The dollar volume of all sales in Pitkin County from January through June was about $702.86 million compared with $520.68 million over the first half of 2013, according to statistics through May compiled by Land Title Guarantee Co. and an Aspen Times review of all deeds recorded in June. That is an increase of $182.18 million, or 35 percent. Buyers from other countries helped fuel the increase in values. There seemed to be a substantial number of buyers from Argentina, Brazil and the United Kingdom. There has been significantly more activity this year than in recent years in the upper end of the market, above $20 million.

Summer Tourism, Business Looking Good

If it feels busier in your town in the Roaring Fork Valley, that’s because in general this summer has been particularly bustling. Statistics from the National Forest Service to Chamber of Commerce organizations up and down the valley say there are more tourists, and business is up compared to years past. The Fourth of July weekend was one of the busiest in recent years.
