One company, U.K. online pharmacist Superdrug Online Doctors, attempted to find out with a project called “Perceptions of Perfection,” put together by the marketing agency Fractl. The company hired 18 designers (14 women and four men) from countries around the world to Photoshop the same stock image of a woman to fit their respective country’s standards.The company also produced a chart showing the estimated weight and body mass index (BMI) of the Photoshopped model by country.
