1. 表示对某人生气，一般用介词 with（有时也用 at）。如：

I’m angry with her for lying to me.

The teacher was angry with/at me when I was late.

注：有的观点认为，用 with 表示心中感到生气，而用 at 则表示怒气流露于外表，但总的说来此时还是用 with 的场合较多。但值得注意的是，不要按汉语意思，用介词 to。如：

误：I couldn’t be angry to him if I tried.

正：I couldn’t be angry with him if I tried.

2. 表示对某事生气，根据情况可用介词at, about, over 等。如：

(1) 用at的用法

I was rather angry at what he said.

She was angry at Lina’s trying to lie to her.

She was angry at finding that nothing had been done.

(2) 用about的用法

You seem angry about something.

She’s angry about not having been invited.

The woman whose umbrella you took is very angry about it.

(3) 用over的用法

She will get angry over nothing.

People are angry over rising prices.

3. 表示生气的原因，一般用介词 for。如：

I am angry with you for your conduct.

He was angry with himself for having made such a foolish mistake.
