As the Marketing Intern, you will assist in coordinating the production of marketing projects (print and digital) and provide assistance in the design,production and distribution of marketing materials. You will also work closely with the Events and Membership teams to ensure that initiatives and deliverables meet our member-focused objectives and culture.
Responsibilities of the Marketing Intern are, but not limited to, the following:
• Contribute to the design and development of print and digital marketing material
• Work with internal and external design and production resources and printers
• Translate marketing materials
• Work with project team to ensure collateral adheres to brand guidelines
• Support official social media channels, including content creation
• Update website in Word Press as needed
• Upload and format content in WeChat as needed
Other duties include but aren’t limited to:
• Provide general support to CanCham Shanghai events
Desired profile:
• University student
• Excellent problem-solving skills and capacity to adapt to various situations
• Solid spelling, grammar and proofreading ability
• Knowledge of Mandarin Chinese or French an asset
• Good understanding of direct response marketing (print and digital)
• Working knowledge of print production, layout and graphics design
• Ability to handle multiple projects, organize work and set priorities
• Ability to embrace tight deadlines, competing priorities, and budget restraints
• Excellent time management skills
• Creative thinker
• Ability to work independently but also work closely with other team members
• Ability to consult, negotiate and influence
• Documentation and computer skills
• Proficiency in written and verbal English
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite software (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
• Mass email marketing and contact database management experience
