Business Development Manager, Northern China (Beijing)

Inquisitive. You have exceptional research skills, and can gather the latest and greatest in industry intelligence and market trends.

With drive, motivation and energy, you will be responsible for delivering on the following:

Understand the Northern China market, and regularly provide market updates and insights to support strategic planning and effective market development
Support the implementation of the China market strategies in Beijing and other key cities in Northern China
Manage Key Distribution Partners (KDPs) in Northern China, and drive negotiation and delivery of tactical campaigns with KDPs
Guide the development of quality tourism products by KDPs in Northern China, and recruit quality delegates for participation in major trade events such as Australian Tourism Exchange and Corroboree
Provide input to consumer and digital marketing activities relevant to the Northern China market
Manage the partner relationship with Air China, as well as other key Chinese airlines that operates from Northern China to Australia, in an effort to grow partnership marketing activities in the area
Identify and pursue opportunities with other potential partners based in the Northern China region as required
Liaise with other Australian government agencies (Embassy, Department of Immigration, Austrade) and state / territory tourism organisations in the area

To deliver on the above, your resume will demonstrate the following:

In-depth knowledge and understanding of the local and Australian travel industry
Native Chinese speaker (Mandarin)
High Proficiency in written and spoken English
Solid commercial acumen and negotiation skills
Possess competency in dealing with senior management
Excellent negotiation skills to align co-operative partners with Tourism Australia's marketing direction
Can manage varied projects and engage multiple stakeholders as appropriate
