Native American youth are reinventing what it means to be a native musician. Combining the sounds of their generation such as electronic music and hip-hop with traditional native music forms such as drums and vocal chanting to create a sound that is once wholly contemporary but rooted in native culture. First Nation band A Tribe Called Red are a perfect example of this.
