2017.06.17 A Task 2 Sample Essay

Space travel has been possible for some time and some people believe that space tourism could be developed in the future. Do you think it is a positive or negative development?

Technology and science have been driving forces of diverse possibilities and opportunities. It is now believed that contemporary astronomical studies could make space travel possible in the future, which in my opinion is a positive development.

Firstly, space travel would allow people’s exposure to and learning of space science. This, in my view, would further augment the understanding of astronomical aspects of the world as space travel would open up the doors to a more hands on science education system for children as well as adults. For example, the ability to take trips to the outer space would permit everyone to learn more about the different planets and stars in a more practical way

Furthermore, space tourism would open up tremendous scientific possibilities as it would harness overall development of the interplanetary discipline. Through space travel, more people would be interested in this area and they would want to invest in research and development of the possibility of life in the outer space. For instance, a person who would have travelled to space would probably develop more curiosity and awareness about it and would participate more in space related research. This in fact, might just result in evolving facilities on planets other than earth that could support life in order to save our planet, marking the beginning of a new scientific era

In conclusion, I believe that the development of space tourism would be extremely positive which would not only provide the world with marvellous opportunities for travel as well as education but also support research on finding other planets that could support life.
