本周五晚7:30，坐标三里屯老书虫，我们将请到几位英国的科学家带来“科学大爆炸”讲座——雾霾的故事，以轻松有趣的方式，为大家解读雾霾的成因和影响。
在这一期的“科学大爆炸”讲座中，英国的科学家会介绍北京雾霾的生命周期，讲述人类的活动如何决定雾霾的形成、影响雾霾的发展，探讨他们目前正在测试的样机技术和设备将怎样转变人们对于雾霾的认知。

来自约克大学的James Lee教授正在跟中国的相关机构和调研人员一起，探究北京雾霾的化学成分和对人体健康的影响，寻找解决办法来应对这一严峻的挑战。

Format: An intimate, entertaining introduction to the science of air pollution, and the UK and Chinese researchers working together to tackle it.
Introduction:
Air pollution is a part of our daily lives, and yet its chemistry, origins and effects on human health remain poorly understood. This Friday, come and enjoy a beer with the British scientists who are working with China to explore the chemistry and health effects of Beijing’s air pollution, and find solutions to one of the world’s most urgent challenges. Professor James Lee of the University of York will talk you through the daily life cycle of air pollution in Beijing, how human activity shapes it, and show how prototype technology is transforming our understanding of what makes up the air we breathe.
This event is hosted by Research Councils UK China, celebrating 10 years in China, in partnership with the UK Science & Innovation Network and the Newton Fund.
