Cass Business School is one of Europe’s leading providers of business and management education. The Post Graduate Careers and Professional Development department is working in collaboration with corporate sponsors to deliver a programme of activity which will increase the employability of Chinese students. This role will use specialist knowledge and first-hand experience of the Chinese recruitment markets to design, develop, manage, promote and run the China Employability Project.
Responsibilities
• Understand fully what the Cass Post graduate careers team and Alumni team wish to achieve from the project via in depth research and understanding the needs of Chinese Cass PG students
• Understand internal capability within the MSc Careers team, Professional Development, Marketing and Alumni team to complement the skills set of the project manager and deliver key aspects of the project.
• Create a detailed plan with agreed timescales for each part of the Programme. Deliverables include: running workshops and seminars on specialist careers topics such as psychometrics, assessment centres and interview role play. One to one meetings with students to educate them on employability topics. Creating a mentoring programme. Develop a suite of events in London and China. Develop a marketing programme. Create a list of target employers to form part of a business development strategy to feed into the Employability project
• Source suppliers in UK and China to deliver some aspects of the Employability project.
• Maintaining Standards and Quality by collating feedback
• Management Reporting to line manager, Ex Co and corporate sponsor
Person Specification
Prior experience of delivering a project to budget and on time to a Chinese audience
Relevant Career Coaching / Advising qualifications (such as Psychometrics, Assessment Centres, CIPD)
Educated to degree level of equivalent
Significant experience of working as a recruiter or advising on recruitment to a Chinese audience in one to one situations
Business Fluency in Chinese
Demonstrable experience in Career Coaching techniques such as CV writing and interview skills (including competency and strengths based)
Experience of giving presentations to a large audience in Chinese
Experience of business development, negotiation and supplier management in China
Experience of marketing using Chinese channels such as WeChat
Experience of producing management reports
Experience of working with Business Schools or universities
