Melbourne partner, Jeremy Loeliger, has been appointed to the Australia China Business Council (Victoria) State Committee. Please see the ACBC announcement below.
The Australia China Business Council (Victoria) is delighted to announce the appointment of Jeremy Loeliger, a Partner at Holding Redlich, to their Victorian State Committee, following his election at the 2014 Annual General Meeting held in November.
Jeremy specialises in corporate and commercial law with a focus on large scale natural resource projects including, in particular, agribusiness. With his deep understanding and appreciation of natural resources, agribusiness and rural industries he has been involved in large scale asset and business acquisitions and divestments in these sectors acting for public and private clients from Australia, China, Europe and North America. Jeremy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this Committee and joins a talented team of experts who are focussed on our organisation’s aims to grow business opportunities with China.
The Australia China Business Council was founded in Victoria in 1973 and is a non-government, not-for-profit membership based networking organisation. It has grown across Australia to become the premier business organisation dedicated to promoting business and trade between Australia and the People’s Republic of China.
With members from all areas of industry and commerce, including the sectors involved with the main thrust of bi-lateral investment between Australia and China, ACBC works closely with State and Federal Governments, the Chinese Consulate and member companies to further business opportunities between our two countries.
The recently elected National President, The Hon John Brumby, has a clear vision to unite ACBC with a set of shared national interests and to deliver real outcomes for all members, from SMEs to multinationals. Jeremy’s expertise in a diverse range of areas makes him a valuable addition to the ACBC.
