Did you know that in 2017 there were 1.8 million new lung cancer cases diagnosed worldwide? Did you also know that lung cancer can be prevented and modern imaging technology can detect the cancer in earlier stages and give the patient an excellent chance of a full recovery? Please join us at the Beijing American Center for a talk by Feng-Ming (Spring) Kong, MD, PhD, a Fellow of the American College of Radiology and an international lung cancer expert who has extensive research and patient care experience in both China and the U.S. During the talk, Dr. Kong will give an overview of lung cancer’s risk factors and traditional screening and treatment methods. She will then focus her discussion on some of the recent advances in lung cancer treatment with an emphasis on the role imaging can play in diagnosing the disease and in providing a more targeted and effective treatment plan.
