生活中的一天:来自帕洛阿尔托的Megan

早上6:45:闹钟铃响。我迅速起床,穿上上班衣服,今天是牛仔裤和小西装。边准备边听选自教堂年中会议的早安灵修。然后开始洗脸,化妆,做头发。接下来,检查一下是否把工作用的设备和个人用品都放进包里,检查运动包里锻练和指导用品是否都收好了。
早上7:00:坐在桌前诵读圣经,并规划一下今天工作的优先顺序。祈祷完带上今天要用的物品,穿鞋子出门,开车去上班。
上午8:00:到达公司(高科技公司),先去公司里一家餐厅吃早餐。一边吃早餐,一边查看主管的日程表,浏览最紧急的邮件。回复后回办公室。
上午9:00:跟上司报备,询问昨天工作进展是否顺利。随后我们一起安排今天/本周工作的优先顺序。
上午10:00:参加团队会议,与其他同事碰面。
上午11:00:处理邮件及/或跟进项目,或者学习进修课程,提升工作技能,比如商务写作能力。
中午12:00:在公司内设的餐厅吃午饭。通常我会叫上同事一起吃,或者联系其他人一起吃,这样有助于掌握更多公司其他部门和商务方面的知识。
下午1:00:查阅邮件及/或了解项目进展。
下午2:00:主持下午会议。
下午3:00:开始规划明天工作的优先顺序,总结今天的工作。
下午4:00:离开公司去健身中心锻炼。我报了一个课程,和朋友一起锻炼。
下午5:00:休息一小时,我会去吃晚饭或者喝一杯蛋白质奶昔,借此机会恢复体力,或者看看书,再或者打个电话。
下午6:00:接下来几个小时我是教练。在健身中心为客户提供指导,教新客户或者帮助老客户达到他们所订的健身目标。我指导他们做机能性动作、举重、体操和一些健身相关技巧。过程里我们也享乐其中!
晚上9:00:我带上健身中心的门,回家。回家洗澡,听室友说说今天过的怎么样。浏览邮件,用几分钟处理一下工作、私人生活或者教堂社区派任的工作。最后,我会看看书或者上网看看小视频,放松自己准备就寝。
晚上10:30:关灯睡觉!

6:45am: Alarm clock sounds. I immediately rise and dress for work in jeans and ablouse. I listen to a morning devotional while I get ready,selected from my church’s semi-annual conference. I wash myface, apply make-up, and style my hair. Next, I make sure my bag is packed forwork with my devices and personal items. I make sure my gym bag is packed formy workout and to coach.
7:00am: I sit down at my desk and read from scripture and plan my day's priorities.I finish with a prayer and then collect everything I need for the day. I put onmy shoes as I go out the door and get in my car to drive to work.
8:00am: I arrive to work (at a high tech company)and go to one of the cafes forbreakfast. While I eat I review my director’s calendars andscan email for the most urgent requests. Once I handle urgent requests,I make my way to my desk.
9:00am: I check in with my bosses and ask how theprevious day went. We set priorities for the day and/orweek.
10:00am: I meet with colleagues in team meetings.
11:00am: I work on email and/or projects, or take continuingeducation courses to increase my work skills such as business writing.
12:00pm: I eat lunch at one of the company provided cafes. I often invite colleaguesto join me or network withothers to learn about different parts of the company and business.
1:00pm: I check back in on email and/or projects.
2:00pm: I hold afternoon meetings.
3:00pm: I start prioritizing for the next day and wrapping up actionitems.
4:00pm: I leave work and head to my gym for my personal workout. I join a classand do the workout with my friends at the gym.
5:00pm: I have an hour break where I eat dinner or aprotein shake. I spend this time recoveringfrom my own workout, reading, or making a call.
6:00pm: I coach for the next few hours. I spend time with clients at our gymteaching new people or helping veteran clients reach their fitness goals. Ihelp them with functional movement, weightlifting,gymnastics,and fitness-related skills. We also have fun!
9:00pm: I close up the gym and head home. Athome I shower and talk with my roommate about her day. I scan my email and spend a few minutes things related to work, personallife, or my responsibilities in my church community. Finally, I winddown by either reading or watching a quick show online.
10:30pm: Lights out!
