 “It is summer in Washington, and the Smithsonian Folklife Festival has opened on the National Mall; America’s Front Lawn.” This year’s festival will run from June 27–July 1 and July 4–8, 2018. Every year, the festival brings music, dance, crafts, foodways, storytelling, and other living traditions from communities around the world to our nation’s capital.
