Our new 5,000-square-foot early learning center at 444 Second Avenue @ 26th St. is being transformed into a magical environment for infants and toddlers. Our new home formally opens September 8th. In the meantime, we're holding monthly tours of our facility so that parents can discover the E+D difference for themselves.

Clapping is one of the most ancient forms of human communication. Now we clap with our babies for so many reasons—to share joy, pride, and mostly to accompany songs and hand rhymes. Parents around the world clap with their babies, and they’ve been doing it throughout the history of humankind. Why do we do it and how does it benefit our babies? Some reasons include developing rhythm, creating routines and traditions, and developing physical skills. When you sing and clap with babies you give them so much.

Explore+Discover is one of the first facilities of its kind to accept Bitcoin. The group will continue to accept all traditional payment forms as well. "We are accepting Bitcoin because we want to make sure every parent has the opportunity to have their children benefit from Explore+Discover's phenomenal daycare and early education program," said Brian Koffler, Chief Technology Officer for E+D's parent company, K3 Learning. "As payment methods change, it is important for organizations in the service industry to accommodate the needs of our clients. Bitcoin is simple, secure, fast and cost-effective for everyone to use."

Reading, as well as talking and singing, is viewed as important in increasing the number of words that children hear in the earliest years of their lives. The pediatricians’ group hopes that by encouraging parents to read often and early, they may help reduce academic disparities between wealthier and low-income children as well as between racial groups.
