SPEAKER BIO:
Shiming Tan is the Head of China Investor Sales. Based in Hong Kong, Shiming is leading Citi’s institutional sales force including Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. The team covers Chinese financial institutions in mainland and Hong Kong, distributing global investment products and delivering risk management solutions. Previously, Shiming was the Global Head of RMB Products, responsible for Citi’s global RMB initiatives and coordinating the development of RMB products across Citi’s platform. Shiming was the central interface of Citi to relevant regulators and the champion of RMB internationalization working group across all divisions in ICG. Shiming relocated from Shanghai where he was previously the Head of New Products for Markets at Citi China, working closely with Chinese regulators and helping Citi to develop innovative products in the local markets.
Shiming has an MBA from University of Toronto, a Master’s Degree in System Dynamics from University of Bergen and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Fudan University.
