Job Description

• Monitor and Summarise newsflow on the portfolio and watch list names

• Assist the Portfolio Manager in monitoring risk and the portfolio for event risk

• Meeting with management teams, sellside analysts, and industry experts to increase awareness of current and potential investment opportunities

• Filling in team investment templates and assessing investment theses assigned by the Portfolio Manager

• Preparing detailed earnings previews and reviewing corporate results

• Recommending investment ideas for the Portfolio Manager review

• Providing industry briefing materials

Skills And Experience

• Minimum of 3 years front office experience within a buyside equity investment team managing long short money

• Strong analytical and demonstrated critical thinking skills

• An accounting module must have been part of the successful candidate's education either at bachelors, masters or post - graduate level, demonstrated forensic accounting skills

• Superior understanding of financial statements with detailed experience of financial modelling and ratio analysis

• Demonstrated Passion for investing and financial markets

• Strong understanding of valuation on a relative, historic, and intrinsic basis

• Good understanding of business models especially in dynamic industries particularly TMT and consumer discretionary

• Global Equity experience primarily in North America and European regions

• An excellent working knowledge of Bloomberg and Excel is required; the candidate should have extensive experience in building models and using and linking Bloomberg data

• Good team player with a strong work ethic; good interpersonal / communication and presentation skills

• Required: Mandarin speaker and fluent English (written and oral)
