The company is launching a Real Estate / PE credit strategy and is seeking a seasoned BD/IR professional to articulate the story with a focus on potential investors from China/HK and Asia Pacific Region.
Job Description
In charge of company capital rising activities by pitching potential investors in UK, China, HK and Asia Pacific Region.
Develop and maintain good client relationships with potential investors including funds and i-banks, family offices, UHNWI’s
Perform a comprehensive competitive analysis, including financial metrics and differentiation
Prepare necessary company presentation materials such as newsletters, collaterals, portfolio and financial reports, marketing program etc.
Liaise and hold investor meetings for business negotiation
Execute Capital Introductions business strategy
Originate and maintain relationships with investors across specific jurisdictions and investor segments
Capture all relevant data and input into CRM system
Keep abreast of regulatory changes and their impact on hedge fund marketing and Capital Introductions and provide insight
The Successful Applicant
Have existing network and relationships with of UNHWI’s, Family Offices, Funds
Degree in business, finance, communications, journalism or related disciplines;
3+ years of relevant experience in investor relations, financial agencies, financial institutions or banking with strong people network
Excellent relationship management and communication skills
Independent, flexible, self-motivated, able to work under pressure
You should be a degree holder in any discipline from recognised universities
Candidates who comprehend excellent Mandarin and English skills are highly preferred even with less experience
CPA and CFA holders are welcome
You must possess strong financial, detailed and analytical mindset with excellent communication skills
Fluent written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese is essential.
Key duties as part of your position will include
Develop a targeted Capital Raising Plan to achieve organisational goals on schedule.
Assist with strategic business development in line with Capital Raising Plans internationally.
Develop and implement an Investor Relations and Communications Program.
Prepare and update Monthly Investor Reports, along with new Investor Presentations and associated documents.
Maintain continuous contact with our current investors, and updating investor contact data into a CRM.
Create, build and manage relationships with new potential investors.
Leverage your network of high net worth individuals and venture capital firms to gain solid investment leads
Manage the investment process from start to finish with the full support of the company.
Be willing to travel to meet with investors and lead meetings as required
Create and update an Investor Website, outlining our story and growth with PR links etc.
Implement and manage an investor data-room, along with responding to investors due diligence requirements promptly.
Identify and apply for Government Grants.
Schedule and coordinate investor road trips.
Secure new investment and or venture debt.
Keep abreast of fund raising and strategic developments with peer companies.
Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
As a candidate for the position, you will ideally be well versed in debt/equity/ venture capital fundraising, the capital raising process and investor relations. To exceed in this role, you must be an excellent communicator, have strong presentation skills, be an experienced negotiator, be highly organised and have the drive to succeed.
