Diamond Manufacturersis a multi-channel jewellery retailer trading under the brand name VASHI, witha strong online presence and a flagship store soon to be opened in Piccadillyat the heart of London’s West End. The business is highly skilled in digital marketingand has delivered outstanding and consistent growth online over several years.The business is planning to open further flagship stores in New York and HongKong in the next 3 years and wishes to prepare for entry into the Chinese market by building up its online offer, as well as testing the market andbuilding up a substantial history of transaction data to underpin the newstore.
The main duties andresponsibilities of the job
The job will entailresearching digital marketing options for our brand development in China. By using the base case of our current digital marketing strategy in the UK, the applicant will be expected to research what the Chinese equivalents are, whatthe costs are and how they vary by region, season, time of day, and keywords,as well as measuring the popularity and effectiveness of different approachesto the digital market in China. From this research, the applicant will reportto senior staff at VASHI to determine the sales structures in China, includingthe range of goods to be marketed, sales strategies, and marketing campaigns.Once sales campaigns are underway the applicant will need to train sales staffin dealing with the Chinese market and assist with customer accounts for highnet worth clients.
Skills, qualificationsand experience require
Advanced level ofwriting and reading in Mandarin. Advanced level of speaking, writing andreading in English.
A related degree suchas, finance, banking or marketing.
A strong understandingof and affinity with the Chinese affordable luxury jewellery customer
Able to work underpressure and be a strong team player.
Strong excel, PowerPointskills would be an advantage.
