The Role:
As a result of the gradual opening of China’s capital markets to foreign investors, we anticipate that Chinese equities will occupy a growing portion of the Asia ex-Japan investable universe.
In response, we are seeking to recruit a China Equity Analyst to join the Asia ex-Japan Equity team based in Henley on Thames (Oxfordshire, UK)and to support our China stock selection capability.This role will have a particular focus on Shanghai andShenzhen-list equities
Key Responsibilities:
To uncover undervalued investments opportunities.
This will involve:
Industry analysis
Company financial statement analysis
Management interviews
Development financial and valuation models
To present investment recommendations to other members of the investment team both verbally and through written reports
To monitor existing investments in team portfolios
Key Requirements:
Ability to speak and read Mandarin fluently is essential
Pre-existing right to work in the UK
A passion for investment
Several years of work experience performing stock research and making investment recommendations
Excellent communication skills in English
Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking and a willingness to challenge accepted wisdom
Excel skills
