亲爱的CISH&SCCS家长和同学

As you may have noticed, some of the teachers at SCCS and CISH have been growing moustaches throughout the month of November. This is to support the global Movember Foundation by raising awareness and money for men’s mental and physical health. (see below for a more in-depth explanation about the Movember Foundation).

相信您可能已经注意到了，我们合肥加拿大国际学校和合肥高新中加学校的一些男老师在整个十一月份留起了胡子。这是为了支持全球Movember基金会来提高重视男性身体和思想健康的意识并筹款（请继续往下看，有一个更详细的关于Movember基金会的解释）。

We are raising awareness in the classroom by informing our students and are going to have two movie nights to raise some money. The movie night will be held on Wednesday, Nov.30th from 6:00pm.- 7:30pm. for elementray students and Thursday, Dec. 1st from 4:20pm-5:30pm for high school students. You can contribute cash or online at http://moteam.co/fuxing-rd-fuzz. Any and all donations are welcome. All the money raised will go to the Movember foundation.

Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men's suicide . The Movember Foundation runs the Movember charity event, housed at movember.com. The goal of Movember is to "change the face of men's health.”

By encouraging men to get involved, Movember aims to increase early cancer detection, diagnosis and effective treatments, and ultimately reduce the number of preventable deaths. Besides annual check-ups, the Movember Foundation encourages men to be aware of family history of cancer and to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
