《澳洲旅行者》（Australian_Traveller）在其特别版中罗列了澳洲《澳洲百大度假圣地》（Australia's 100 Greatest HolidaysOf All Time）。这份榜单是一个由二十名旅游专家组成的专家小组花了好几个小时的时间，对一万二千个提名进行了各项比较后甄选出来的。以下为大家列举前十位的最佳度假地：

在这份榜单中，拔得头筹的是之前并不太为人所知的西澳旅游项目--在Kimberley乘船游览；传统的度假热门州--昆州也没被抛得太远，拥有澳洲最受好评的豪华酒店、获评最佳徒步目的地；还有澳洲最佳自驾游的塔州是另一个大赢家。该州此前名不见经传的The East Coast Escape击败了诸如大洋路（Great Ocean Road,第八名）和 Big Lap（第三名），夺得了第二名。

《澳洲旅行者》的编辑Georgia Rickard称："如果你曾在那儿自驾旅行过，你就会明白为什么它能夺得亚军。"她同时表示，一个如此平价的旅游目的地竟然能获得第二名，这一点倒是非常地出人意料。East Coast Escape自驾游最令人赞不绝口的地方就是它那无与伦比的环境。

塔州的奢侈度假村Saffire Freycinet击败了多年来一直备受称赞的Hamilton Island（第十名），夺得了第五名。

Rickard称，这份榜单反映了澳人的旅游品味已经发生了改变。"作为一个国家，我们越来越清楚自己想要怎样的假期。我们希望享受真实的体验、独特的风景以及可以丰富我们生活的旅行。"
