G类写作的第一部分通常是写一封信,类别非常广泛,各种内容都有可能涉及到;收信人也很多变,从熟悉的到陌生的,都有可能会考到。所以,
G类的考生在写信的时候要注意:
第一, 要注意书信的卷面格式;
卷面必须是标准的信件格式,不要写成中式的信件格式。如果说最基本的格式有问题,那Task 1部分的分数就会很 “难看”哦!~
第二, 要清楚写作的任务要求;
何为任务要求?就是题目中要求你写的内容,包括小标题。千万不要写着写着就写High了,写偏题了。针对题目中的三个小问题,一个一个解决,紧紧扣题,尽量将偏题的可能性降到最低!~
第三, 要注意书信开头和结尾的 “固定” 句型;
信件开始的部分,要有一些 “客套话”。 说白了,其实就是寒暄几句。对于熟悉的人,可以问问: “你最近怎么样啦” 之类的客套话。
结尾部分,也要适当的客套几句。比如:Thanks for your time and reply 等等等等。具体写法需要根据不同信件的内容而改变。建议烤鸭们可以准备几句不同Tone和不同内容的开头句结尾句,考场上可以灵活运用。
第四, 要采用合适的语言文体;
这就是我们常说的Tone了。一般G类的书信分为Formal, Informal 还有夹在中间的 Semi-formal. 比如,写给团体或组织结构的信需要用Formal Tone,用词和句法结构都不能太随意; 而写给亲朋好友的信语言则需要写成Informal Letter,用词和句法结构就可以随意一些。
在考试之前,G类的烤鸭们要做的事情就是根据不同种类的书信分一下类。常考的信件类型有投诉信,请求信,感谢信,咨询信等等。背诵相关Tone的用词和开头落款写法,研究有关范文的行文布局选词造句,然后实战练习几篇,相信在考场上搞定G类书信并非太难!~

(批注:The question doesn’t mention any ‘new staff training session’ so it is confusing to open your letter in this way. You have made an assumption that your first day at work will be a training session. You can make such an assumption but it is best to open your letter using the information provided in the question.)
I just passed a job interview with your company for a position as an account assistant, and the job was supposed to start on November 15. (批注:I’ve deleted this because it is covered in my rewrite of the opening paragraph) However, y Yesterday, I was notified by the Migration Department that I needed to do a physical examination on November 15 to complete my working visa application. On November 15. I am therefore afraid that I will not be able to attend the new staff training session on that day. I understand that a training session for new staff is to be held on November 15 which I will therefore unfortunately not be able to attend.
I am concerned that I might miss something important due to the my absence since I know it is critical for new employees to be familiar with the workplace through the training session. (批注:It is unnecessary to say all this. A Band 8 requires use of substitution to be more succinct.) this training day is compulsory.
Please(批注:In saying ‘Please leave…’ you are effectively giving your new boss an order or instruction. You can’t do that. All you can do is make a polite request ‘Would it be possible to leave…’.) Would it be possible to leave me a copy of the document used in the training at reception, and I will go through it the next morning. If I have any problem associated with this training, I will ask senior employees for help.
Thank you for accommodating this unexpected circumstance. I apologise for any inconvenience that may occur for you I may have caused.
