5 common reasons why men have low libido

There are many reasons why some men may have a low libido. As with any health condition the underlying cause always needs to be addressed.

1.Medications - Particularly antidepressant medication and also antihypertensive medication (for men with high blood pressure) - these drugs are known to have sexual side effects including low libido.

2.Stress – The body reacts to stress by releasing adrenaline and cortisol (stress hormones). Too much stress can interfere with your body’s hormone levels, and result in a low libido. Even lack of sleep is stressful on the body and will release these hormones.
