Dear Colleague,

A quick bulletin for you today, to highlight that our January MSc programmes commence 3 weeks later than they used to, due to our new semester structure in place this year. So please note that the new term starts on January 25th 2016. We are very positive about this change, as we feel it brings with it some benefits for you and your students:

• More time for your applicants to meet conditions

• More time to prepare for and apply for the visa

• Less likelihood of delay caused by the Christmas / New Year closure, especially re the visa office

• Better flight availability after “the holiday rush” – likely cheaper too

In the Faculty of Science and Engineering:

• MSc Electrical and Electronic Engineering

• MSc Computer and Information Security

• MSc Network Systems Engineering

And in the Faculty of Business:

Important Scholarships Note:

For this January start we have in place some postgraduate scholarships which could really make a difference to your students. The following range of postgraduate taught Master programme scholarships are available:

• £5,000 Vice-Chancellor’s International Student Scholarship

• £2,500 International Student Merit Scholarships

• £1,500 International Student PGT Scholarships

Unlike the September start, the University will automatically award these scholarships to eligible students upon receipt of complete application. This, too, will make the application process smoother and clearer for you and your students.
