---美国排名种类有哪些？---USNEWS

想必各位已知道美国院校排名USNEWS的大名。USNEWS不但有综合排名，还有学院的排名以及专业的排名。但是当用USNEWS的会计排名去查校的话，会发现学校没有开设硕士项目，弄得一头雾水。其实，对于会计硕士的排名，是有另外一个专业排名-Public Accounting Report，简称PAR。（纽约大学的会计今年新开，因此没有参与排名）这里讲述的排名是纯硕士学位排名，不包括MBA方向下会计的排名。

---会计硕士留学竞争---有困难更有成功

南加州大学硕士会计专业工作背景举例分析

USC Leventhal’s master’s programs are highly selective: we receive more than 1,000 applications and accept about 160 students, 25 to 30 percent of whom are our own undergraduates and the rest from at least 75 U.S. and international universities. We offer merit and diversity scholarships and an eight-week Summer Intensive program for non-accounting majors. Highly successful career placement (90 percent) is another advantage of a graduate degree from Leventhal.
南加大每年收到超过10000人的录取，但是最终只能招收160人。这其中25-30%的人还得照顾到自己学校的本科生。其余的75%才是从美国本土和国际学校中招生。

看上去没有明确提出对工作背景的要求，但是仔细阅读Personal Statement的题目：
Part of your application requires you to prepare a statement on your professional aspirations and how the program will help you to achieve them. The essay questions will be available in the online application.
在托福，GMAT，GPA相差情况不太离谱的情况下，如何从1000人的不到17%中胜出？那么工作经验乃至实习确实就是非常有必要的。这样不论是简历，PS，RL还是面试，就会有很大的发挥余地了。毕竟，追根到底，会计专业是一门比较实用性和应用性的专业。

华盛顿大学硕士会计专业工作背景举例分析

University of Washington的Master of Professional Accounting的Selection Criteria中，提出：Internship and/or work experience (include on your resume even if you haven’t started work yet). Work experience is not required for admission.. Managerial potential. We assess each prospective student’s level of managerial responsibility by examining his or her accomplishments in school, community activities and work experience.
学校没有要求全职的工作经验，但是还是希望有实习经历，并且看到学生在学校、社区活动和工作上面的领导力。

波士顿学院硕士会计专业工作背景举例分析

Boston College，去年接受的申请一共有700多份，但是最终录取了60人，70%以上为国际学生。但是在Admission requirements 中有一条是：A separate Employment History, using the form provided within the online application。不言而喻，该校的Master of Science in Accounting是很倾向于有工作经验的人申请的。
