近年来，一些城市雾霾频发，PM2.5等环境专业词汇一时间成为社会热词。这些无时无刻为我们敲响保护环境的警钟。如何让孩子们意识到环保的重要，在他们心中种下环保的种子。3月12日，剑桥郡加拿达外国语学校全体师生及家长们一起参加由雅居乐·剑桥郡社区举办的植树节亲子活动，孩子们和爸爸妈妈一起度过了一个特殊的植树节。我们常听这样的一句话“授之以鱼不如授之以渔”。植树节的意义并不是在于每个人都要于植树节当天植树，而是通过植树，使大家关注绿化和环保问题，深刻认识植树内涵，切实提高环保和绿化意识。 

In order to provide students with rich experiences, an authentic understanding of sustainability and raise their awareness of environmental protection, on March 12th Canadian Foreign Language School staff, students and parents joined the Tree Planting Day parent-child activity organized by Cambridgeshire County Community. What a great way for children to spend a special day with their parents.

虽冒雨植树，但雨水浇不灭我们干劲十足的热情。

Although it’s raining we are still motivated to help Mother Earth!

It’s happier and more meaningful to do things with our parents!

一直以为要珍惜必先有爱，而爱一定是相识相知的！要孩子们珍爱环境，必得要让他先亲近自然，当他满眼碧水蓝天，当他心醉绿肥红瘦，当他听得蛙声蝉鸣，当他神往星空奥秘••••••当他看到自己精心选种的树苗一天天长大，相信这爱已然在心里成为一片绿荫，那不论何时何地，他将是一个懂得自律和珍惜之人，春暖花开也一定与他常在！

Our parents told us that Tree Planting day was very meaningful because we were adding more trees, making the environment more beautiful and green and strengthening the bond between parents and children and between teachers and students. Most importantly, through this activity children became more aware of the environmental and to always take care of our only homeland--The Earth.
