3月17日是爱尔兰的传统节日——圣帕特里克节（St. Patrick's Day），是为了纪念爱尔兰守护神圣帕特里克。圣帕特里克节的传统颜色为绿色，有着三片心形叶子连在一起的酢浆草——三叶草 (Shamrocks) 和传说中的绿衣老矮人 (Leprechauns)是圣帕特里克节最具代表性的象征。

尽管天气湿冷下着蒙蒙细雨，但加拿大（美林海岸）国际幼稚园的孩子们和老师们当天仍然盛装装扮共同庆祝圣帕特里克节，满眼的绿色与春天相得益彰。帽子的绿色的、服饰是绿色的、配饰是绿色的，就连笑容也是绿色的！孩子们亲手制作爱尔兰节日的绿色装饰、绿色贴画、绿色陶艺品，耳边传来小朋友们用英语相互交谈，欢歌笑语洋溢在幼儿园里的每个角落。

On March 17th it was St. Patrick’s Day and to celebrate it at Canadian Mayland International Kindergarten we had a wonderful day full of St. Patrick’s Day activities. Many classes did arts and crafts to create hats, capes and other accessories for everyone to wear. After all the arts and crafts the classes read the CIEO St. Patrick’s Day theme book. The children loved hearing about Po trying to find a four leaf clover! The English teacher taught the children about St. Patrick’s Day as well with different flash cards, many games were played and the children had a great time. Many classes took great pictures today showing off all the children’s art work and happiness. We hope everyone had a great St. Patrick’s Day!
