HPEnterprise Services Applications has an exciting opening for an Entry-Level HPExstream Developer in Wellington. The HP Exstream Development team operatesboth from HP’s Wellington and Christchurch offices. You may be about tocomplete your degree, have already completed it and seeking your first role oryou may have 6-12 months of work experience.

We are looking for a motivated and confident Entry-Level Developer who has astrong thirst for learning and a drive to succeed in their chosen career. Yourability to interact with people/teams and build strong collaborative workingrelationships with teams and colleagues will be second to none. HP Exstream isa bespoke document composition software application.

In this role you will be assigned to a team that works on applicationdevelopment for several of HP’s long-standing key banking and Telco clients.The majority of your work will be at the HP premises and from time to time youwill may visit the client onsite. Your confidence in client/customer facing environmentswill be central to your achievement and enjoyment of this role.

In this position, you will undertake both technical and process/methodologytraining and be mentored in Application Development Lifecycle and techniques.Your tasks will include technical design and development, project support,governance and reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

You will either have a background or knowledge in Java development or in.NET development with an understanding of the SDLC. You will have clearattention to detail and the ability to learn and apply new processes quicklywith flexibility in adjusting to new situations.

In return you will receive exposure to the operations of a large IT Outsourcingorganization and the development and management of Application Services andobject oriented analysis and design skills. You will be trained in HP Exstreamand after some time may also be offered the opportunity to cross trainadditionally in .NET or in Java. Further you will have the opportunity to learnfrom industry experts and to utilize the latest technologies while working oninteresting projects of varying sizes and complexities.
