You’ve already established your senior-level credentials in the global security environment, with a full understanding of the risks to major pharma businesses, plus experience of international operations and outsourced investigations. Are you ready for the challenge of leading a new, centralised Global Security organisation for a world-leading, FTSE10 biopharmaceutical company? At AstraZeneca, we’re looking for a Head of Global Security Services to join us in Cambridge.
Global Security is responsible for a broad and evolving remit. We need to protect our people travelling in areas of political unrest or facing threats of extremist activity, as well as our physical assets. With the support of third parties, we have to stamp out illicit trade throughout the supply chain to protect patients and our commercial interests. And we need to safeguard sensitive commercial information and our IP against competitor intrusion, while protecting our corporate reputation in a crisis. Your industry knowledge, leadership and influencing skills will be key to meeting all these challenges and driving us forward.
You’ll shape and develop policies, set the strategic direction for Global Security and be a primary source of advice to AstraZeneca worldwide on the full range of global security matters, including protective services and investigations. The role will involve identifying security requirements across business areas and geographies, and assisting in the management of high-impact security risks – influencing our Senior Executive Team and challenging the status quo if needed. Key will be your ability to develop strong relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including law enforcement and regulatory agencies.
You’ll bring a structured approach to security management, which will include implementing SeMS. Coordinating and prioritising outsourced investigations into counterfeit goods and grey markets through your team of Global Security Directors will be a prime responsibility, as will taking a lead in crisis management when necessary. You’ll also manage external resources to meet budget requirements.
