参加关键语言教师项目(TCLP)到美国教汉语

 

美国“关键语言教师项目”选拔中国英语和对外汉语老师到美国中小学进行为期一学年的汉语教学,并为美国接待学校和社区提供中国文化资源的支持。  

 

项目待遇

·      分享汉语和中国文化的同时亲身体验美国社会和文化;


·      通过职业发展培训学习美国教学法,提高英语水平;

·      J-1 签证支持;

·      出国前培训;

·      中国往返美国和美国城市间的国际、国内旅费; 

·      在华盛顿特区举办的9天培训会; 

·      在美国学校完成大约10.5个月的教学任务; 

·      参加项目期间的意外事故和疾病保险; 

·      帮助寻找在美住房,通常由接待学校或教育社团安排;

·      约30,000美元的补助,其中包括20,000美元的生活费和住房补贴,住房补 贴的标准基于当地社区的平均租房价格

 

申请资格

美国“关键语言教师项目” 择优录取,面向任何符合以下资格的申请人:

·      目前在中国居住的中国公民;

·      目前在中国国内中小学全职担任英语教师或对外汉语教师;

·      申请时至少有4年及以上的课堂教学的经历;

·      中文基础坚实; 

·      具有学士及以上学位; 

·      英语书面和口语表达流畅; 

·      承诺在完成项目后继续从事教学工作

所有TCLP申请人必须完成下面两部分申请程序:

1.  向孔子学院总部(国家汉办)提交中文申请:  http://kzxyshizi.hanban.org/

 截止日期:请联系贵省教育厅国际合作部或电邮 [email protected]咨询汉办申请截止日期,该截止日期早于TCLP截止日期。

2.向美国国际教育委员会提交英文申请 http://tclprogram.org/chinese

美国“关键语言教师项目”由美国国务院教育文化事务局主办,美国国际教育委员会承办,在中国与孔子学院总部(国家汉办)合作。


Teach Mandarin in the United States with the Teachers of Critical Languages Program


The Teachers of Critical Languages Program brings teachers of English or Chinese as a Foreign Language to the U.S. for one year to teach Mandarin Chinese to American primary and secondary school students and serve as cultural resources for their host schools and communities.

 

Program Benefits

Experience American culture and society firsthand while sharing Chinese language and culture;

Learn about U.S. teaching methodologies and improve your English language skills through professional development workshops;

J-1 visa support;

A pre-departure orientation in China;

Round-trip travel from China to and within the U.S.;

A nine-day welcome orientation in Washington, DC;

An approximate 10.5-month teaching assignment in a U.S. school;

Accident and sickness health benefits plan during the program;

Assistance with finding housing, generally arranged by the U.S. host school/educational community; and

Maintenance allowance of approximately $30,000 comprised of a

$20,000 stipend and an area housing allowance based on average


Eligibility

TCLP is merit-based and open to anyone who:

Is a citizen of China and currently resides in China;

Is currently a full time teacher of English or Chinese as a Foreign Language in a primary or secondary (K-12) school in China;

At the time of application, has at least four years of classroom teaching experience;

Has a firm understanding of Mandarin Chinese;

Has at least a bachelor’s degree;

Is proficient in written and spoken English; and

Demonstrates a commitment to continue teaching after the completion of the program.

All TCLP candidates must complete a two-part application process:


1. Submit an application for the Confucius Institute Headquar- ters (Hanban) in China: http://kzxyshizi.hanban.org/

Deadline: Please contact your provincial education department or email [email protected].

Hanban application deadline will be earlier than the TCLP deadline.

2. Submit an application to American Councils:  http://tclprogram.org/chinese
