We are currently looking for a Public Relations (PR) Manager and this senior role is the perfect opportunity to become part of a dynamic, fast-paced business which has experienced substantial growth in the last few years, having built strong relationships with leading construction firms, architects, developers and electrical subcontractors.
As Public Relations Manager, it will be your responsibility to nurture our strong industry network and implement PR strategies in accordance with company values. You will be responsible for all aspects of publicity, overseeing the planning and execution of a wide range of content production.
With the assistance of the Sales and Marketing Team, you will develop and maintain a favourable public image through producing and communicating commercially attractive literature to the targeted media. The successful applicant will be expected to manage and attend each and every company social event which entails regular evening and weekend events.
It will be your responsibility to network and socialise with our key clients and direct the senior sales staff to identify key individuals for specific attention by senior sales staff at events. You will be tasked with managing the organisation and staffing of events and the processing of information and specific leads generated will form part of the day time process.
Responsibilities
To develop a strategy in relation to coordinating all marketing communications, including goals, budget and tactics
Maintain strong relationships with media contacts and cultivate new opportunities for PR partnerships
Oversee media monitoring and use tools to create reports on PR activities and its impact on the business
Working closely with the Marketing Team and other colleagues to develop and produce press release material to elevate the company’s exposure to the industry media.
Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and making appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
Develop and own an annual communications plan, directing PR campaigns and managing effective media relationships with external contacts
Managing PR in potential crisis situations

Qualifications & Skills
No degree is required as long as the candidate can demonstrate proficiency in the pertinent skills:
3-6 years’ relevant experience in public relations and communications
Experience in B2B, national business and media contacts
BA/MBA required
Strong sense of teamwork and ability to manage and execute PR plans and ideas
Experience in writing clear, accurate and concise information for different audiences and ability to communicate technical issues to a general audience.
Business awareness and a good knowledge of current affairs, knowledge of affairs in the industry is an advantage
Strong ability to work under pressure, manage conflicting demands and prioritise workload
Willingness to learn about new markets and conduct in-depth research
Ability to produce creative and innovative ways to promote the business and approach clients
Knowledge of a second language Mandarin is a significant advantage.
