Ksubaka brings moments of joy to shoppers, transforming how consumers hear and experience marketing messages from brand owners. Through our network of connected in-store playSpots, we are able to deliver short gamified advertising messages to shoppers when it is relevant to them, then send coupons and rewards to their mobile phone for immediate redemption. Our advertisers receive real-time campaign visibility through online dashboards, allowing them to monitor and optimise their ROI. Our retail channels benefit through improved instore shopper engagement, shopper satisfaction, and shopper insights. Ksubaka leads the market for in-store gamified advertising.

You will be at the heart of the platform team, driving the team’s thinking on function and experience. Working with the product owner and senior management you will give form to the company’s long term roadmap, while defining the user flow, and look and feel of the upcoming releases. Key projects for China and European markets will include user-facing experiences (main menu, survey screens, hand-off to mobile) and tools for internal teams (campaign planner, field operations) and clients (retailers and brands). You will be the first UX team member, and may later grow into a team lead role.

-   Produce our designs

-   Work with product owners and other teams to develop a deep understanding of requirements

-   Challenge teams on underlying needs to draw out simplicity

-   Design experiences for tablet and mobile – with specific focus on hand-off from tablets to mobile WeChat in China

-   Design reward mechanisms for consumers

-   Support consumer facing design choices (menus, ads, surveys) with internal test results and academic research

-   Create information architecture and design guides to enable a coherent look and feel to our web-based tools that will give remote and often temporary teams in China the means to operate effectively

-   Organise our design process

-   Develop and maintain a design process that meets our production needs

-   Where necessary build up team members

-   Exceptional design skills and attention to detail

-   Motion graphic and transition design skills

-   Previous experience in international design in agile development teams and previous experience in China

-   Fluent English & Mandarin compulsory

-   A thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies

-   Excellent presentation writing and delivery skills

-   Bachelor or Master degree in interaction design

-   Pragmatic

-   Able to see simplicity through the fog of complex requirements, and are good at communicating these results
