Position1: Associate
Location: Shanghai

Responsibilities:

Associate is the entry position for new graduates witheither bachelor or master degree. The team roles and job responsibilities for an Associate evolve as the persons experience and capability get developed.Responsibilities for an Associate usually include:

  • Preparation and delivery of sections of assignments

  • Desk based research using basic and advanced research tools

  • Gather key information through interviews, management discussion andsite visits

  • Correctly and efficiently analyses data and summarise key findings

  • Build market or financial models and perform analysis

  • Write concise reports in English or Chinese, with sound business recommendations

  • Contribute in team discussion and participate client meetings

  • Supervise and lead junior staff as seniority increases

  • There will be occasional short period travels for project needs 

Requirements:

  • Outstanding academic performance (NO restrictions on majors)

  • Strong analytical capability with logical thinking and good numeric skills

  • Good commercial acumen and business sense

  • Solid English ability in terms of both writing and speaking

  • A team player with proactive and professional attitude

  • Willing to solve challenges and work under pressur

  • Native Mandarin speaker, good writing skills in Chinese 

 

Position 2:Senior Associate

Location:Shanghai 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute a module or a work stream of a project, often with the support from Project Manager. Assignments usually vary by projects, and could cover broad business spectrum, like industry value chain assessment, consumer study, market dynamic assessment, financial modeling, etc.

  • Work as a team member and fulfill key project assignments, including research, analysis, output production, etc.

  • Deliver high quality outputs to meet the challenges in timing and resources

  • Supervise, direct and coach junior team members. Actively communicate with Project Managers and contribute to team discussion

  • Participate in daily client communication, including active presence atclient discussion and report presentation

  • Support in business development and other administrative duties

  • There will be occasional travels per project needs (generally, team is office based) 

Requirements:

  • At least 18 months of experience within a strategy consulting firm, or strategy related corporate functions, or as an investment analyst

  • Strong analytical capability, with good commercial acumen, business sense and financial knowledge

  • Solid English ability in terms of both writing and speaking. Native Mandarin speaker, strong business writing skills in Chinese

  • Self-motivated, and willing to solve challenges and work under pressure

  • High professionalism, and a team player with positive attitude

  • Bachelor or Master Degree, with MBA as a strong plus

 

Position 3:Manager

Location:Shanghai 

The Manager is the person in charge of the daily execution of consultancy projects, although the roles vary depending on the complexity of a project and the seniority of a Manager. Primary roles of a Manager include:

  • Plan the whole project execution, including deliverables, timeline,milestones, and resources. Foresee obstacles and challenges, and design case cracking approaches

  • Manage the project team and solve daily problems, including directing the team, solving identified issues, prioritizing focuses, flag risks.

  • Act as strong thought leadership within the case team, e.g., drive the hypothesis thinking, design analytical framework, lead key analysis, etc.

  • Motivate the team to deliver exceptional client output

  • Actively involved in client management, e.g., handle daily client communication, present project outputs, enhance client relationship, etc.

  • Direct, motivate and supervise junior team members. Develop team members through on-case training and coaching

  • Active support to business development, marketing and other office administration duties, like recruiting, training, etc. 

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience within a strategy consulting firm, or strategy related corporate functions, or as an investment analyst. Or at least1~2 years of consulting experience after a MBA degree

  • Proven capability in project / team management, with potential of advanced leadership

  • Strong analytical capability, with good commercial acumen, business sense and financial knowledge

  • Solid English ability in terms of both writing and speaking. Native Mandarin speaker, strong business writing skills in Chinese (for experienced project managers, consideration of non-Mandarin speakers possible)

  • Self motivated, and willing to solve challenges and work under pressure

  • High professionalism, and a team player with positive attitude

  • Bachelor or Master Degree, with MBA as a strong plus

  • Corporate working experience in other functions is considered a plus
