为外教举行生日礼仪，是长春市实验中学国际部的传统，因为生日庆祝是外国人最注重的节日之一。2月7日是外教Jeremy的生日，由于2月7日我们都会放假。所以提前为其举行了Jeremy的生日庆祝仪式。仪式于2015年2月5日中午十二点二十分，国际部全体教师在办公室为Jeremy庆生并为他精心准备了带有全体师生签名的生日卡片、生日蛋糕，大家齐唱生日歌为他祝福。Jeremy来中国工作已有两年多的时间，他很喜欢中国，也很喜欢中国的历史，他读过孔子的《论语》和相关评论，读过鲁迅的书，毛泽东诗词，喜欢的伟人是彭德怀，假期的时候还特意去过彭德怀的故乡。他是一位很有内秀的地地道道的中国迷。我们为能拥有这样一位优秀的外教感到由衷的高兴与自豪。

Birthday Celebration for foreign teachers is one of the basic traditions for Changchun Experimental High School International Division, because one of the most important celebrations for foreigners is birthday celebration. February 7th should be Jeremy’s birthday, but that day will be our vacation. So we decided to make this happen today.

At 12:20pm, all the stuffs of our International Division did a very elaborate preparation including birthday cards with everyone’s signature, cake, pizzas and a birthday song.

Jeremy has been working in China for more than 2 years, he likes China very much. He read books and comments about Confucius, books and articles from Xun Lu, poems of Chairman Mao. One of the Chinese greatest people he likes is Peng Dehuai, he specially went to Peng’s home town. He is a very native fan of China. We are proud and happy of having Jeremy here.

在我们的生日快乐歌声中，Jeremy说他非常高兴非常开心，谢谢我们大家的祝福，也希望今年会是一个美好的一年。也祝大家这一年顺顺利利。许完愿后，Jeremy吹熄了生日蜡烛，校长Chad送上了他特意准备的HELLOKITTY的糖果，我们国际部也为Jeremy准备了礼物—— 一套精装英文版的《三国演义》，他很喜欢。我们也衷心的祝福他在中国的工作和生活一切顺利，生日快乐，JEREMY！

With the singing of Happy birthday to Jeremy, he said he feels very very happy and thanks for all these presents and blessings, also hopes this year will be a very beautiful year. Wishes everything will go smoothly this year. After making wishes and blowing the candles off, our lovely headmaster Chad gave Jeremy his presents---HELLOKITTY Candies, our division also gave him a beautiful covered “Three Kingdoms”. He likes it very much. And we all hope Jeremy will have a lucky year and happy life in China.
