A Swiss Company in the travelling and shopping industry is currently looking for a Digital Marketing Executive to be based in Angel, London. The Executive would work with the Company's site globalblue.com and report to the company’s media group based in London, UK.
The site is aimed at international shoppers (especially those originating in markets such as China and Russia), globalblue.com guides travelers around the world’s greatest shopping cities, showcasing the best stores, brands and experiences.
We are looking for someone who can build and develop the audience for globalblue.com within China and other key markets. With half a million unique users and an aggressive growth strategy, the brand is at a key turning point, and this role will be essential to its success.
Agency Management
- Manage day-to-day communication for multiple Chinese agencies
- Attend regular meetings with agencies and/or lead calls
- Liaise between agency and Digital Managers to implement digital marketing strategy
Reporting and Data Management
- Assist with performance reports including microsite reports, monthly actualizations and ad hoc requests
- Assist with all aspects of marketing analytics including Google Analytics maintenance, dashboards and tracking
- Develop partnerships with organizations that have direct relationships with outbound international travellers from China
- Build network of industry sites and press contacts in key markets
- Build relationships with relevant partners in key markets
- Manage campaigns across multiple channels and markets
Search Engine Marketing
- Be up-to-date on SEM & SEO best practices, assist agencies with campaign development and maintenance
- Display advertising: manage creative development and ad trafficking; assist agencies with campaign development and maintenance
Mobile marketing
- Assist with mobile campaign development and App promotions
- Genuine interest in digital marketing and media
- Self starter ability to work as a team and independently
- Ability to navigate digital metrics, run reports and communicate insights to key stakeholders
- Excellent networking skills and ability to build relationships with relevant organizations
- Existing relationship and contacts from media, travel, luxury, fashion in China a bonus
- Good presentation skills and ability to attend meetings with external clients / agencies
- Strong prioritization skills to organize in daily work, resistance to intense work load and ability to handle numerous daily requests from sales and marketing teams worldwide
- Mandarin speaker is an asset with good English communications skills (written and oral)
- Good understanding of how Social Media can be utilized for SEO and building traffic and brand presence within China
- Understanding of Google Analytics, Baidu SEO / SEM tools
- Understanding of SEO best practices
- Competent using Microsoft office, specifically Excel and Powerpoint
- University or equivalent technical degree in marketing, communication or journalism
