Opening Ceremony of 2016 International Education Summer Camp
2016年7月13日上午，合肥高新中加学校的相关负责老师都已早早到达学校，安排老师跟随校巴去南京接应，留校老师则为迎接傍晚到校的国际教育夏令营的师生们而展开一天紧锣密鼓的筹备工作。下午七点左右，夏令营加拿大师生一行28人（24名学生和4名老师）在中加老师的带领下安全抵达中加校园。
Early in the morning of July 13th ,2016, all the teachers concerned with the summer camp in SCCS have come to school. Two teachers were arranged to fetch those campers in Nanjing. The others stayed to prepare for welcoming them in the afternoon. At 7 O’clock, 24 students and 4 teachers arrived at our campus.
由于堵车等原因造成到达时间较晚，考虑到营员都比较疲惫，学校在安排加方师生放置行李（生态厅）之后，即引导他们去学校餐厅就餐。学校食堂精心准备了西餐供加方师生享用。
As it was late, they were led to have dinner immediately after laying their luggage in the hall. The school cafeteria has prepared delicious Western food for them.
在加方师生享用晚餐期间，中方的寄宿家庭家长和学生都早早来到了小报告厅等待，他们对即将入住他们家的加方学生充满着期待，也希望能给加方学生家的感觉。为了提前做好迎接准备，家长和学生们根据大屏幕给的安排表确认家庭即将接待的学生姓名。
Meanwhile, all the parents and students from home-stay families have come to the small Lecture Hall to wait for their home-stay students. They hope that they can make those children from overseas feel at home. 
在享受了在合肥中加第一顿晚餐之后，加方师生即在中加老师的引导下来到小报告厅参加夏令营说明欢迎会，即简短的开营仪式。在进场的过程中，中加老师有条不紊地安排加方营员签到，领胸卡、营服以及夏令营日程表，同时好邀请每个加方学生做个简短的自我介绍，以便安排到寄宿家庭旁就座。中方寄宿家庭的家长对于加方学生都表示了热情的欢迎，加方学生们也积极和寄宿家庭攀谈起来。
After dinner, students and teachers from Canada were invited to attend a short Opening Ceremony in Lecture Hall. Those campers signed, got entrance cards, T-shirts and Schedule for Summer Camp in an orderly way. Every students from Canada were also invited to have a brief introduction of themselves to whom home-stay families extended warm welcome.
晚上8点，为期5天的2016合肥国际教育夏令营开营仪式于中加教学楼一楼的报告厅正式举行。首先刘劲松老师上台向加方师生逐一介绍此次夏令营的具体日程安排，并一一介绍此次夏令营期间的负责老师，包括分管3组学生的3位英语老师，夏丹丹老师、郇蕊老师、刘文婷老师。介绍之后，刘劲松老师还十分体贴地向大家强调夏令营期间的注意事项，包括安全第一，尊重相互文化等，确保夏令营安全有序开展。
The Opening Ceremony of 2016 International Education Summer Camp started at 8 O’clock. First, Teacher Liu introduced the daily arrangements and teachers in charge, including Alison, Rachel and Tina. After that, he also stressed the importance of safety and respect of mutual culture. 
接着余涛校长作欢迎致辞，余校代表全体中加教职工对于加方师生的到来表示热烈欢迎并衷心希望他们在合肥度过一个快乐难忘的夏令营。同时余校还贴心地鼓励部分想家的加方学生，并向他们保证中方家庭的家长和学生都十分友好，他们不用担心未来几天的生活。
Later, Principal Yu was invited to give a welcome speech. On behalf of all the faculties in SCCS, Principal Yu expressed warm welcome to all the students and teachers from Canada and wished them a happy and unforgettable summer camp. Meanwhile, Principal Yu also comforted and encouraged some students who felt homesick and upset about going to home-stay families. He also assured them that all the parents and students from home-stay families are so nice that they don’t need to worry about the lives in later 5 days. 
简短的开营仪式结束之后，即到了加方学生和寄宿家庭的见面会时间，在英语老师的帮助下，双方对各自的情况有了初步的了解，见面会在热烈而又和谐的气氛下进行着。考虑到时间已晚，学校即安排寄宿家庭将学生带回家中休息，并叮嘱家长不要忘记第二天的夏令营安排。
After the Opening Ceremony, students from Canada and home-stay families began to communicate to gain more understanding of each other. As time was limited, the teachers asked the home-stay families to take those Canadian students home and reminded them of the arrangement on next day.
