R.S.V.P.

R.S.V.P. 是法语短语“Répondezs’il vous plait”的缩写，英文意思大概等于“Will you please reply？”中文的意思则是“请尽快回答。”

一般来说，在欧美发出请柬的人都希望收件人尽快答复是否接受这份邀请，好准备当天所需的食物和饮料等。再者，回复别人的邀请本身就是一种礼节，所以我们一般可以回复说“yes, I will attend.” 或者 “no, I will not attend.”

此外，我们需要注意的是，美国人一般都把R.S.V.P.当做动词来用哦。

例：Please R.S.V.P. by the 12th of January to let us know if you can attend or not.
