自2016年9月10日起，凡是从澳洲院校取得博士学位或者研究类硕士学位，并且就读专业为科学、技术、工程、数学和信息通讯技术（science, technology, engineering andmathematics, and information and communication technology即STEM和ICT）的学生，将获得5分的额外加分。
