The School of English and Languages brings together the academic disciplines of English literature, creative writing, modern languages, linguistics, and translation studies. The School also offers an institution-wide language programme for students and evening language classes for staff and the general public.
The School is now looking for a part-time Associate Tutor to teach a Chinese (Mandarin) beginners class on its evening language programme. The role consists of 1.5 hours of teaching per week over 24 weeks (3 terms). Teaching starts w/c 16 October 2017.
Applicants should hold a first degree, a teaching qualification, and have teaching experience. A Masters degree and a background in teaching in the Higher Education sector would be an advantage.
