【使用方法】：

每天两次（早上和晚上），将适量的Dermatix轻轻涂于患处;
1. Dermatix仅适用于已愈合的皮肤。如果你的疤痕是从手术造成，必须确保伤口已经愈合才使用，一般在手术后10-14天。在患处用温和的肥皂和清水清洁，然后使患处干透。
2. 将豌豆大小的份量涂于患处顶端，然后薄薄地涂遍整个患处。一个豌豆大小的份量已足够6英寸长的疤痕。

Having used Dematix and ScarAway 'Silicone Sheets' for several months, I have found noticeable improvement in my small kelloid scars that were left by acne (and which at the age of 23, continues to be a problem without management). The main attraction to silicone treatment is that it's completely natural, because all the substance does is create a mini 'atmosphere' over the affected area which accelerates regeneration in the skin. It's pretty amazing what heat and moisture can do.

However, the silicone sheets have only been affective up to a certain point, and now they just don't seem to have the same impact as the first month of treatment. This highlights what may be a flaw the sheets, as it's almost impossible to keep them flush with the skin surface once the kelloids lose a lot of their roundness. For myself, the hairs on my arms were actually pushing the sheets away from the skin, and for the affected areas on my back/shoulders, they would just peel and flop away with constant body movement. Using surgical tape to keep them in place is time consuming and plain annoying.

The alternative to these sheets is the topical 'gel' that can be spread over the affected area, and provides the same method of treatment. This product costs almost twice as much as the sheets, but it is a far, far more practical solution by all accounts. You simply squeeze the gel out onto the affected, massage it in, and then wash away for another application about every 12 hours (or morning and night, if it's simpler).

You only get 15 grams which is disappointing, although it is clearly advertised so I knew what to expect. The consolation however is that you only need teeny-tiny amounts, which makes a change from other products that tempt you to really lather the stuff in. One of the benefits of this product is that it's almost impossible to use too much, because if you use the right amount then it will dry and disappear in no longer than 2-minutes, whereas if you use too much, it just doesn't dry at all, so you can find your threshold from the first couple of applications.

My kelloids range between 1 and 4cm in length, meaning I need only apply an amount that is no bigger than a grain of rice to each scar. Amazing!

What are the results so far? I have notice more discolouration with this gel which is definitely an improvement over the sheets, and so these scars blend in with the surrounding skin a bit better. It's still early days yet, but I have also noticed a reduction in the size/depth of the kelloids - particularly those that were so hard to keep flush with the sheets.

Because my scars have the annoying habit of being in awkward places and in 'clusters', I feel that I have actually benefited from using both the silicone sheet and gel products. It is clear that the sheets do their work very quickly on the initial treatment because the surface of the skin is newest, whereas as when the scars are reduced a bit more to a normal level, application is harder and the layers of skin are older. You'll also save money by simply using those sheets until they become ineffective, and then move onto the more efficient solution as I did.

These are expensive products regardless of whether you buy from Dermatix of ScarAway, but the benefits from a psychological standpoint are something that no-one except yourself will ever understand.
