Are you looking for a new hobby for the new year? Ever wanted to try something daring and exciting? If so, please join us at the Beijing American Center to learn more about the thrilling sport of rock climbing. Since the late 19th century, rock climbing has been a recreational hobby and a way of exploring and discovering nature in a unique way. This event will feature a presentation on the history of rock climbing in the U.S., the culture of rock climbers, and technical features of rock climbing (i.e., types and styles of rock climbing, grades of rock climbing, etc). During the event you will also have a chance to see rock climbing equipment up close, and if time permits, you will even get a chance to make some of the knots that are used for climbing. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to learn more about this exciting sport!

The program will start at 6:30pm and doors will open at 6pm. Please try to arrive at least 10 minutes before the program starts to allow enough time to go through security.

You must bring a valid photo ID in order to get into our Center. No large bags will be allowed into the Beijing American Center (BAC) for this event.
