我最喜欢的五种事物

1.人：我的家人肯定是我最喜欢的！这是我们的全家福。照片里有我的女儿Gwen、她的丈夫Alex和他们的爱犬Watson；我丈夫Duane、我和我们的爱犬Renny；还有我的儿子Brad、他的未婚妻Kelsey和他们的爱犬Stanley。这张全家福是我们在欢度美国国庆日那天在火炬湖拍的。

2.宠物：我们给自己的爱犬取名叫Renny，这个凯尔特语名字的意思是“小而壮”。我们特别宠爱它，到今年6月份，它就该满13岁了。我们经常把它带上汽车跟我们一起旅行。它喜欢乘船游湖。

3.业余爱好/收藏品：我喜欢收藏古董盘子，尤其是画着花朵的那种盘子。这些郁金香盘子是我祖母M.在她高中毕业（1928年）时得到的。

4.艺术/工艺：我喜欢制作以花朵和大自然为材料的艺术品。我会种些花，采集后和其他物体平铺好展示，或是把这些花和物体扎成花束。然后我再给我的作品拍照，把它们转变为图片、瓷砖或文具。

5.美景：在美国，我最喜欢的地方之一就是密歇根州的火炬湖。这几张照片是我们在火炬湖的码头上和船上拍摄的日落美景。

My Five Favorites

1. People: My family is definitely my mostfavorite thing! This a picture of my family.  It includes my daughterGwen, her husband Alex, and their dog Watson.  It also includes my husbandDuane, me, and our dog Renny.  My sonBrad and his fiancée' Kelsey, and their dog Stanley are also in the photo. This was taken when we were celebrating the Fourth of July atTorch Lake. 

2. Pet:Our dog Renny, which is a Celtic name meaning “small butmighty.”  He is much beloved and will be 13 years old in June. He travelswith us frequently by car.  He loves boat rides.

3. Hobby/Collectible:I collect vintage plates,especially plates with flowers.  These tulip plates were given to myGrandma M. at her high school graduation in 1928.

4. Art/Craft: I love making art with flowers andnature. I grow and gather flowers and objects and create “flat lay”displays or bouquets.  I then use photography to capture what Icreate.  I turn them into pictures, tiles, or stationary. 

5. Scenic View:One of my favorite places in the UnitedStatesis Torch Lake in the state of Michigan.  Here are a few pictures ofsunsets from our dock on the lake, or in our boat.
