A First Mortgage Investment is a loan or debt, secured by a legal mortgage over real property. The type of loan may include advances in relation to residential, commercial and industrial properties. The mortgage is registered with the relevant State Authority and provides the investor with a power of sale over the property and with priority over subsequent registered and unregistered mortgages and any other non-secured creditors of the borrower.
