有这么一些词汇，看起来简单，然而你却始终记不住。没有别的原因，只因为它与另一个它长得实在太像了！accident：突发性的，一般为不幸事件，即"事故"。incident：小的变数、插曲，小事件，没"accident"那么严重。【例】an international incident：一次国际事件2. continuous / continualcontinuous：持续不断的，且可以做表语和定语。【例】continuous pain：持续的疼痛（疼痛一直有）continual：中间有间隔的重复，只能做定语。【例】continual improvements in technology：技术上的不断进步（进步是间隔性的）considerate / considerable【例】Be a good neighbor, be considerate of those living around you.considerable：相当大的，值得尊敬的，重要的。【例】We took a considerable length of time to decide.【例】a considerable person：值得尊敬的人electric：电的，用电的，带电的，指任何电动的或发电的装置，被修饰的物体本身可带电。【例】Please connect the two electric wires.electrical：电的，与电有关的，电气科学的，指与电有关的事物，被修饰的词本身并不能带电。【例】electrical engineer：电气工程师【例】All the electrical work was done by my younger brother.【例】He buried himself in an electrical book.表示"保证"的意思，两者通用，英国人爱用"ensure"，美国人爱用"insure"。【例】Our precautions ensured / insured our safety.【例】After signing a contract with a professional baseball team, Jack decided to insure his pitching arm for $1 million.和职业棒球队签约后，杰克决定为他投球的手臂投保100万美元。historic：历史上著名的，具有历史意义的。强调的是事件本身具有的重大意义。historical：历史上的，有关历史的。强调某个事件曾经的的确确发生过。【例】historical figures：历史人物a) 表"说谎"之意，其过去式，过去分词，

b) 表"躺，位于"之意，其过去式，过去分词，现在分词分别是："lay"，"lain"，"lying"。【例】He lay under a tree to sleep.lay：放，搁;下蛋。过去式，过去分词，
现在分词分别是："laid"，"laid"，"laying"。
【例】The dog laid its ears back.♢ 工作：过去十年内，有至少1年连续、有报酬的全职工作经验（每周工作30个小时以上）
