■  Cantina Sociale, 108 Sturt St
Boutique wines from Alpha Box and Dice winery poured straight from the barrel. Chow down on beef and pork belly empanadas and duck rillettes.
■  Barbushka, 14 Peel St
Vodkas from around the globe. Try a shot of Van Gogh Ciroc Coconut vodka - or sip an espresso martini. A great addition to the Peel St precinct.
■ The Loft Wine Bar, 1/128 Gouger St
Oyster, fine wine and cocktail bar in uber-stylish surrounds. Go for a Grapple Cooler, a mix of house limoncello and strawberry puree.
■ Four Doors Plus One, 155 Hindley St
Vibey bar with smart mixologists and impressive drinks list of beers, wine and spirits. Pork sliders, turntables, art...it's all here.

■  The Collins Bar, Hilton Adelaide, Victoria Square
A luxury bar serving every drink imaginable. Cocktails are special including a pretty Champagne and strawberry martini or cut grass egg infused sour.

NORTH

■ Slug 'N' Lettuce, 130 Martins Rd, Parafield Gardens
Try a pint of Old Speckled Hen in the bar of this Brit-themed pub followed by bangers and mash.
■ Fig 22 at The Wheatsheaf Inn, 2 Sunnydale Ave, Gawler East
Drop by for a glass of wine chosen from a well-advised list of local labels. Think: Tscharke wines from the Barossa with a wood fired gourmet pizza.

■ The Clovercrest Hotel, 450 Montague Rd, Modbury North
The Clovey has a popular old-school front bar, big screens, eight-ball tables, jukebox and a parmy and pint deal.

An Art Deco-inspired venue serving local beers, mocktails, cocktails, cider and, naturally, plenty of local wines . ■ Fino, 8 Hill St, Willunga
The food here is acclaimed but so is the wine list. Share some dishes and peruse the thoughtful mix of local wines and imported beauties.

■ Duck Inn, 393 Main Rd, Coromandel Valley
The bar has McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills wines, Australian beer and imported premium beers, raffles, live music and happy hours. ■ Crown Inn Hotel, Old South Rd, Reynella
The Punters Bar is the place to go for daily happy hours and to watch UFC sports fights. The bar does a decent schnitzel burger and mixed grill.

EAST

■ Nook Nosh, 111 Unley Rd, Unley

The small bar scene comes to Unley. Lisa Stone and Chris Lamb run this stylish, relaxed, super-friendly wine bar with boutique wines, classic spirits, local beers, coffee and bar plates.

■Base. Bar (at The Bath Hotel), 234 The Parade, Norwood
Cocktails, wine and beer in a funky setting. Sip on a Negroni or strawberry caipiroska and just add food - fab pizzas, sliders and small plates.
