The Opportunity
This growing inbound operator in China with groups travelling from Far East and the Greater China region to Europe is seeking a Mandarin speaking hotel contract coordinator . The purpose of the role is to provide full administrative support to a Hotel Contractor and other members of the team with a primary focus on coordination between their UK-based Pan-Europe operation and their suppliers & business partners across Europe and Asia. Experience working for a company in China is essential, with travel experience and the right to work indefinately within the UK!
Responsibilities
Daily coordination between our UK-based Pan-Europe operation and our suppliers & business partners across Europe and Asia
Inputting data such as rates and allotment details on our in-house computer system
Making travel arrangements and appointments with hoteliers for the hotel contractors
Preparing and printing of statistics
Analysing and comparing rates of suppliers and competitors
Preparing hotel contracts and documents
Meeting and greeting visiting hoteliers
Cross-checking and following up on all bookings, billings and payments
Completing general correspondence and filing
Requirements
Fluent English plus fluent Mandarin a must
A person with some experience in the travel industry or equivalent
A European language beneficial but not essential
Good numeracy and accuracy skills
Ability to work under pressure and willing to meet deadlines
Good keyboard skills and experience of using Microsoft Office & socialmedia applications
Ability to work on their own or as part of a team
Friendly and efficient telephone manners
A sound knowledge of geography and currencies
Professional with excellent interpersonal skills
Customer relations experience preferred
Must be UK national or permanent resident
