IH London is currently looking to appoint a Sales Executive - Asia to sell the complete range of IH products and services to a wide range of end-users and industry intermediaries, including educational agents, companies and governmental organisations.
· Sell complete range of products within a given international (mainly China including Hong Kong and Macao, South Korea, Taiwan and Mongolia), or UK sales territory, and/or flexibly across the world as may be required
· Extensive daily desk-based re-active and pro-active communications
· Contribute into the wider sales & marketing remit
· Monitor and report on the sales performance of given regions / projects
· Plan and develop appropriate sales & marketing actions in conjunction with the Director of Sales & Marketing
· Manage budgets and keep within agreed spending, sales and profitability targets
· Representing the company on trips overseas in order to raise brand presence, encourage recruitment at the school and develop excellent working relationships with key partners
In consultation with your line manager, aggressively drive sales, by:
· Developing and maintaining sales relationships with agents, individuals, affiliates, companies government and other organisations
· Visiting companies / agents in country at a frequency to be agreed with the Director of Sales and Marketing
· Attending exhibitions, fairs and participate in any events that may promote sales
· Representing the School by participating in relevant language and cultural events and communities
· Ability to organise and run familiarisation visits to the main school or that of its summer centres
· Preparing proposals / tenders / quotes
· Contributing into an annual cycle of advertising, mail-outs, email campaigns and online marketing, to raise and maintain the profile of the School in relevant markets
· Following-up on sales leads via salesforce, email and telephone and keeping within agreed follow-up parameters
· Creating and maintaining address lists for direct marketing purposes Supporting line manager with planning trips / workshops and follow-up
· Produce a collective translated materials in Chinese including brochures, posters, power points and young learner welcome packs together with an intern or translation company
· Manage Chinese social media platform including wechat platform, youku and tencent video website, weibo and QQ to raise brand awareness, generate inquries and keep day to day conversation with individuals, affiliates, companies government and other organisations. Working over weekends or after works to meet agents when necessary
Collecting and maintaining essential marketing information including:
· Market profiles, regular collection of trends and insights from partners and clients
· A profile of the main competitors in each market
· A collection and analysis of competitor publicity
· A usable price comparison table, to contribute to an annual pricing exercise
· A regular analysis of our own customers with a view to improving market segmentation, and hence targeting and positioning of marketing activity
· Planning, producing and delivering an annual sales & marketing plan for the products sold within your sales territory
· Tracking sales and profitability progress
· Self-assessing progress against performance measures
· Monitoring sales progress against set targets and previous years’ performance
· Analysis of weekly sales reports
Provide back up for your line manager and other sales team members through:
· Sales office desk support when colleagues away on sales trips or holidays
· The right mind-set to work with a powerful CRM capable of providing structured daily and weekly tasks communicative and sales based actions
· Experience in sales of a high quality product in a service industry and evidence of success
· Evidence of effective relationship building with key stakeholders
· Excellent written communication skills: ability to product faultless copy for business communications with a sensitivity to the needs of non-native speakers.
· Excellent oral communication skills, including telephone manner and ability to make presentations clear, persuasive, articulate.
· Comfortable with accountability for ambitious sales targets and reward based upon results
· Committed team member: supportive of colleagues, pro-active and flexible, ready to cover for other team members
· Commercial awareness: able to work simultaneously to sales and profitability targets
· Experience of, or a demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for, dealing with people from other countries and cultures whilst remaining professional and diplomatic at all times
· Adept at high-calibre analysis and report writing
· IT literate: intermediate to advanced knowledge of Schoolworks, Salesforce, MS Office suite. Typing speed of at least 40-50 wpm
· Self-starter: excellent time management and ability to prioritise, whilst communicating actions to others
· Excellent planning and organisational skills
· Common sense and lucidity
· Excellent working knowledge of Mandarin (advanced level required)
· Educated to degree level
· Experience in education or languages marketing an advantage
· Experience in utilising and managing a CRM system
· Chinese native speaker and have a good understanding of Chinese and Asian Culture
· Good knowledge about social media in China such as Wechat platform, weibo and video platforms
