- Conducting industry research to formulate commercially successful events
- Inviting and confirming high-profile speakers from across the retail and consumer goods industry
- Management of events, including liaising with stakeholders, before, during and after an event
- Developing and building harmonious relationships with sponsors, retailers, brands, industry consultants and other sector speakers and associations
- Liaising with and briefing the marketing manager to ensure conferences are successful
- Generating commercial successful ideas that will appeal to potential attendees
- Writing press releases, conference website, brochure and other ad-hoc pieces
- Reporting directly to the Director and planning the event calendar with them
- Graduated to degree level (2.1 and above) or equivalent in your chosen discipline, ideally Social Sciences, Humanities, Languages or similar with a strong research element
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin
- Commercially astute, entrepreneurial and have a desire to learn about business opportunities
- Strong worth ethic and ‘can-do’ attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly motivated, organised and able to multi task
- Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines
- Proven track record of producing high-quality work
- Great team player with an ambitious and positive attitude
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point
